  1. This is cool! Will you incorporate costs of the proposal (for example, so policymakers could weigh the cost with the potential impact) and reach into the calculator?

    • Dear Jennifer, Thanks so much for your feedback and glad that you find the Calculator useful. Your suggestion for incorporating cost of programs into the tool is a fantastic one. Our team has been working on a range of analyses looking at the cost and cost-effectiveness of these programs. I think a possibility is to provide some simple costing module so policymakers can adjust to the size of the district and local characteristics.

  2. I was hoping this would be more basic so that my niece could see how many basic calories she should be giving her daughter (my great niece) who is overweight at age 2 1/2 and weighs 42 lbs.

    • Carol, thanks for trying out the Calculator and your feedback. Our tool was designed with a policy and population health in mind, that’s why we have several school- and community-based interventions in our evidence review. Weight management at age 2 1/2 is an important issue, and our suggestion is for your niece to consult with a pediatrician or a dietitian to obtain the best clinical advice that is right for her daughter.
